Experimental Work

The XYZ-house series derives from an experimental study on form and basic geometry.  Based on the Cartesian Coordinate System (CCS), the intension of these hypothetical ''dwellings'' is merely exploration and exercise.  Different spatial coordinates relate to one another in model space, taking the XYZ coordinates as real north-south and east-west orientations.  The initial state of the form begins with a simple box which is then transformed and/or re-arranged according to a programmatic agenda (the house).  With every alteration to the initial box there is an end result which  then creates a set of conditions.  A new form is the desired outcome of these new conditions; intuition is therefore a key element for achieving the desired end result of the house.
